1. What made you decide to be a photographer?
I wanted to recreate the feeling that I got when I saw an amazing photograph and share that with people.
2. Who were your early influences as a photographer?
National geographic’s photographers Annie Leibovitz and Richard Avedon. I love the classical nature of the photography and painterly feel.
3. Comparing where you are now with where you were when you first started, what could you have done differently to get to where you are sooner?
I would have shot a lot more to define my style earlier. Not just fashion but street, landscape, portraits, and still life.
4. How was it like working with Cheryl for our campaign?
Excellent! It was a real pleasure to impart some knowledge, and she already has a very defined style which I admire so I wish her all the best in this difficult industry.
5. What do you want to see in the next generation of local photographers?
Be bold, don’t try to copy what we see from other countries, let’s embrace our country and use it to create amazing work.
6. Pick one: Shirts or sweaters?
Singlets 😉
