1. You met our fresh faces whom we recruited for the campaign, what do you think of them?

They have a lot of talent and the potential to succeed, if they can keep an open mind, are willing to learn as much as they can and to most importantly work hard with the right attitude. I look forward to seeing a lot more of them (and their work) in time to come!

2. You dabbled in many roles in the entertainment industry. In your opinion, which platform really jump-started your career?

Over the years I have found that hosting – both filmed as well as live hosting – makes the most of my strengths.

I also find I like the business aspect of entertainment and I get great satisfaction and joy from producing great content solutions for clients who want to reach their audience in an organic and fresh way – through original online videos, stories and pictures.

In this way, it is not so much which platform, but rather which function of the world of entertainment that makes the most of my abilities. That said, social media and the digital space enabled me the freedom and ease to naturally grow this part of my career.

3. Did you have a mentor who has helped you in your career?

I did not have a mentor per se, but I have been privileged to have worked with some of the best, and I definitely learnt a thing or two from every person I have worked with – whether a positive example or as a reminder of what not to do! It is a constant learning process that never stops. I guess you could say I found my own mentors – even if they had no idea!

4. What is the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

“This too will pass”. Everything is transient and nothing is forever, so to remember to cherish the good while it lasts, but to also not despair in bad times, for they have an end as well.

5. What is your advice for aspiring entertainers in Singapore?

Be self-aware. Know your strengths and your weaknesses – you cannot possible be good or bad at everything. Have the right attitude and be humble – there is always something to learn from everyone. Be open and embrace change, as the world is moving and evolving so quickly. Don’t get stuck. Don’t be stubborn. Be gracious and kind to everyone, always. There is no excuse not to.

6. Pick one: Florals or polka dots?

That’s a really tough one! I love prints in general. Can I pick both?
